Reckless

At PCTC 2012 we want to challenge you to be “Reckless.” Yes, you read that right - we want you to be Reckless. I am not talking about driving a hundred miles an hour down a highway while texting kind of reckless, but rather recklessly pursuing God and his mission for your life with everything you have. In fact, it is the only way to pursue Jesus. Following Jesus is an all or nothing decision. Why does he demand that we live recklessly for him?  Because he is God and he sets the rules, but also because that’s what he did for us. God did not hold back anything from us. In fact, he loved us so much that he even gave us his only son. He recklessly gave all he had to bring us back to himself. His desire is for you to do the same; to recklessly give all that you have to follow Christ and his mission in the world. My hope and prayer for you is that this conference will be a starting point for you to live a “Reckless” life.
At PCTC 2012 we will explore four aspects of what it means to be Reckless.

  • reckless grace – You will learn how God held nothing back (not even his Son), but recklessly gave everything he had.
  • reckless mission – You will discover how you can join Christ and his mission to the world in your own community and schools.
  • reckless sacrifice - You will be encouraged to identify the things in life God is calling you to give up in order to live recklessly.
  • reckless power – You will be cautioned that while this is a truly amazing way to live, it’s not always easy, but through the Holy Spirit, you can truly live a reckless life.

Many people make reckless choices. Most aren’t worth the risk. Will you join us as we explore the challenge to be Reckless for Christ?
